Friendship Group

This page updated October 2006

St Luke's Enmore welcomes you to the Friendship Group.

We are grateful to the Archbishop of Sydney's Appeals Office for the support they have given to establish our "Friendship Group" at St Luke's Hall in Enmore. The Centre has been operating since March 7th 2002.

The Group is Coordinated by a Committee, chaired, at the moment, by Fr Gwilym.
Other members are Moya Holle, Anne Petersen and Mary Sotiriadis, who is the Secretary.
They and other volunteers from the parish take turns to act as host.

Good friends We have welcomed Peruvians, Samoans, Maori, Fijians, Germans, Scots, Chinese, Welsh and Australian Aboriginal.
It is a great joy to share the knowledge of different culture, customs and songs
A good joke!

The Friendship Group meets every Thursday, from 11am to 2pm. It is a place to drop in, share some fellowship and conversation and to make friends. Once a month we have live music, usually a performance on the church's historic 1883 organ and maybe singing round the piano

David and John Peta Woods, our caterer, provides a nutritious meal, which we share at one big table,
so that we can talk to each other, hear the good news of Jesus Christ and pray,
if that is what we want to do.
After the meal there is time for a chat.

Everyone is welcome.
