Our St Luke’s Play Group starts tomorrow Monday 15th October and will be held weekly between 10.00 a.m. and 12 noon for 0-5 year-old children and their Carers. For further information please talk to Ian Mylchreest, Matilda Rinker, Moya Holle or Christine Thurley.
Friday 19th October – St Paul’s Burwood Bus Trip (cost of $60 includes paper bag lunch, tea and coffee) – Lower North Shore Church Crawl starts at 8.45 a.m. from the public bus stop opposite the church. Bus leaves promptly at 9 a.m. See their website for further particulars.
Sunday 21 October is our St Luke’s Patronal Festival service, The Rev’d Judith Atkinson, Rector of the Parish of Hampden, Melbourne Diocese, will now be our guest preacher. The service is followed by a shared lunch. Due to a function in the hall the preceding evening, it will be necessary to set up our hall for the lunch before church on Sunday morning about 8.30 am; all help appreciated with putting up tables, chairs and putting cloths, glasses and cutlery out.
Also Sunday October 21 at 3:30 for 4 p.m. – Soundings at All Saints. Church Hall, 2 Ambrose Street, Hunter’s Hill – see noticeboard for details.
Thursday 25 October – Anglicans Together Dinner at City Tattersalls Club, 194 Pitt St, Sydney – 7.00 for 7.30 p.m. start. Please tell Moya Holle if you are coming. The day of our Christmas Fair is fast approaching– Saturday 24 November 2018 – time to think about baking Christmas cakes and puddings. This event is always on the last Saturday in November so please put it in your diary to help on that day. Our stalls require your help! The Fair always has a Christmas Hamper competition, so if you wish to donate something please place it in the box in the foyer.
Toys & Tucker – just a reminder that we will be collecting new toys and foods from now until early December (not chocolates or anything that melts)
Christmas Day – Community meal in the hall? If anyone does not have family to go to on Christmas Day and would like to be part of this community celebration, see Noel Jeffs who is eager to galvanize interest.
