A special welcome to our preacher today, The Rev’d Judith Atkinson, her husband Professor Stephen Burns and to their son Dominic. Welcome too to any visitors today and please stay and join with us for tea/coffee and our shared lunch in the hall following the service.

Our St Luke’s Play Group meets each Monday between 10.00 a.m. and 12 noon for 0-5 year-old children and their Carers. For further information please talk to Ian Mylchreest, Matilda Rinker, Moya Holle or Christine.

Tuesday 23 October 2018 – The Opshop re-opens on site from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Come and join in the fun with a free BBQ to celebrate! Thank you to all those who have made this possible.

Our Guest Speaker this year is Anne Hywood, General Secretary of the General Synod, Anglican Church of Australia and the topic is interesting – A National Church – actual or virtual? Sunday 28 October – Parish Council meets after morning tea.

Sadly Angela Bell, one of our Parish Councillors, is currently very ill in RPA Hospital. Please visit if you can and pray for her, as well as Saffron her daughter.

The day of our Christmas Fair is fast approaching– Saturday 24 November 2018 – time to think about baking Christmas cakes and puddings. This event is always on the last Saturday in November so please put it in your diary to help on that day. Our stalls require your help! The Fair always has a Christmas Hamper competition, so if you wish to donate something please place it in the box in the foyer.

Quiet Day – Sat 1st Dec at Golden Grove will commence with morning tea at 9.30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. start. The Day will be conducted by Bishop Peter Watson.

Weekend Retreat at Stroud is on 3/4th November. If you are interested in going please speak to Fr Philip or Rosemary or email them on bradford.pr@gmail.com

HELP NEEDED in the Opshop, particularly on Saturdays. If you can assist once a month or only occasionally, please see Ruth.

Toys & Tucker – just a reminder that we will be collecting new toys and foods from now until early December (not chocolates or anything that melts)

Christmas Day – Community meal in the hall? If anyone does not have family to go to on Christmas Day and would like to be part of this community celebration, see Noel Jeffs who is eager to galvanize interest.

Sculptures by the Sea is currently on until 4 November – take a bus or train to Bondi and walk from Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach.
