NOTICES

Tony Purcell is sadly escaping to the country (Cowra) this week and we thank him sincerely for being such an active member of this parish and especially over the last two years for his contribution as a Parish Councillor. We wish him good health and every blessing in his new life and pray that he finds a wonderful parish community to join in that rural area.

Thank you to Jennifer for replacing Tony on the morning tea roster, with Kathy D and thanks too to Julie Olston for assisting while Angela is not well.

Parish Council meets today after morning tea.

Sunday 27 January is Fr Philip’s last official service as Rector of our Parish. Please come and bring a savoury or a sweet dish for the shared lunch. Setting up the hall will be Saturday 26 January at around 9.30 a.m. Please come and help if you can.

Sunday School resumes next Sunday 27 January, with Jennifer Bestel.

Thursday 31 January at 7.30 p.m. – The Institution and Induction of The Rev’d Jeffrey Ross Parker as the 23rd Rector of Enmore & the 8th Rector of Enmore with Stanmore, by Bishop Michael Stead. Supper will be served – please bring a plate of sandwiches or cakes if you can. You are encouraged to come and welcome Fr Jeff and Michelle to our parish. Set up that morning is at 9.30 a.m. in the hall. Please come and help if you are available.

Thank you to all those who have helped so far but we need to do more in the church – tomorrow and Thursday 24 January – please come if you can for an hour or two by 9.30-10 a.m. We wish to clean up the place before the new Rector arrives! (Official Australia Day Holiday – Mon 28th January.)

Saturday 2 February – 6.00 for 6.30 p.m. “Tastes of India” Dinner held by the Leprosy Mission, at St James Anglican Church, 2 Highbury Street Croydon. All welcome – Admission is $20.00 to cover the dinner. Please RSVP to tim@leprosymission.org.au or call 1800 537 767.

Monday 4 February – our Playgroup resumes at 10.00 a.m. for parents and carers. Please spread the word to all you know who care for young children.

Wednesday 6 March – Ash Wednesday – ABM launch their Lenten Appeal at St Luke’s after church; we are serving morning tea to our visitors.
