Services

We have two main services

St Lukes congregation
St Lukes congregation

Our Sunday worship service is a sung Eucharist
which some people call “Holy Communion” or “The Mass” or “The Lord’s Supper”.
This is celebrated at 9:30am each Sunday with Children’s Ministry beginning at the same time.
Our hymns come from the new hymn book “Together in Song”.

Our other Eucharist is at 10am on Wednesdays, and takes place in the St Augustine Chapel

At both services we follow “A Prayer Book for Australia” (APBA), delighting in our Anglo-Catholic heritage.
Our services are formal and reverent, joyful and relaxed, contemplative and reflective.
We welcome children of every age; and their parents, too.
The high point of our Sunday Eucharist is the Communion shared together as we make a circle around the altar to symbolise God’s promise of unity achieved through the body and blood of Christ. A chant is sung (often from the Taize or Iona traditions) while the elements are distributed, assisting us to meditate on the mystery of the incarnation.

Holy Communion: Following Morning prayer on Wednesday at 10am, In the chapel, with the laying on of hands and healing Ministrations followed by fellowship and occasional discussions.

Confessions (Sacrament of Reconciliation) by appointment.

Home Communion for the aged or sick is available on request & baptisms & weddings by prior arrangement.

Other services are held on significant holy days.
