Today Parish Council meets after morning tea in the office.
Angela Bell is currently resting at home awaiting surgery next Wednesday to relieve pressure on the brain from a tumour. She is still very ill; please pray for her and Saffron, who is now being cared for by her father.

Our St Luke’s Play Group meets each Monday between 10.00 a.m. and 12 noon for 0-5 year-old children and their Carers. For further information please talk to Ian Mylchreest, Matilda Rinker, Moya Holle or Christine.
Friday to Sunday – 2-4 November – Weekend Retreat at Stroud; cost is $200 for two nights accommodation and meals (except Friday night – eat on the way or before you go). Please bring your sleeping bag or sheets; pillow case, torch, towel and toiletries; comfortable shoes, raincoat and umbrella. Saturday 24 November 2018 – time to think about baking Christmas cakes and puddings. This event is always on the last Saturday in November so please put it in your diary to help on that day. Our stalls require your help! The Fair always has a Christmas Hamper competition, so if you wish to donate something please place it in the box in the foyer. Stuart Grigg has some plants potted but is going away. Who can mind these babies til the Fair day?
Toys & Tucker – just a reminder that we will be collecting new toys and foods from now until early December (not chocolates or anything that melts)
Quiet Day – Sat 1st Dec at Golden Grove will commence with morning tea at 9.30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. start. The Day will be conducted by Bishop Peter Watson. Please let Fr Philip know you are coming.
Christmas Day – Community meal in the hall? If anyone does not have family to go to on Christmas Day and would like to be part of this community celebration, see Noel Jeffs who is eager to galvanize interest.
Sculptures by the Sea is currently on until 4 November – take a bus or train to Bondi and walk from Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach.
