Sunday 31st August — Chanting the psalms 2nd session
St Luke’s is almost unique in Sydney in that you as the congregation chants the psalms. I think you will agree that the last two months has been an interesting experience. It would be a pity if we lost that tradition.
If you would like to learn to chant the psalms traditionally or have a refresher, Rajah with some assistance from Kathy and Katherine is willing to give some pointers on Sunday 31st August after morning tea. So, if you’ve ever wondered what · |- † * — : , l and ll, double chant and single chant mean please come and join us. No singing or other music experience necessary.

Saturday 6th September from 1pm — Ecumenical BBQ
All members of S Luke’s Enmore along with St Christophorus congregation are invited to an ecumenical barbecue to celebrate the beginning of spring, at Ron Clarke’s house, 5 Barnes Avenue, Earlwood, starting at 1 pm until whenever, i.e., come whenever you like and stay as long as you like.
The intention is simply to provide an opportunity for German Roman Catholics of St Christophorus and St Luke’s High Church Anglicans to get to know one another in a relaxed environment and to discover how much they actually have in common.
Food and drink will be provided, but if you could bring either a small salad or dessert to share, that would be appreciated.
