Wanted: Another team for hospitality on Sundays. Bought food is totally acceptable (although home baking is nice). Set up and clean-up is all that is required (instructions provided). The more teams we have, the less often we’re needed.

Many thanks to St Luke’s for its kind promotion of my two books but especially for the donations, via the parish and ABM, for Gaza’s Al-Alhi Hospital. People support various causes including ABM’s other major appeals, but our Church in Jerusalem and the “Jesus Land”, is especially encouraged by continuing overseas support for the hospital (that receives no Hamas funding), and its many patients and staff. I am still a Bankstown Hospital chaplain (just — with my failing heart nearing 90 and getting more bolshie), appreciating also your Friday prayers for all hospital ministry, and very much treasuring this parish. Saturday 16th August at 2:30 pm — the Parish will be holding a “Winterfest” high tea and concert, in the parish hall.
This is a major fundraiser for the parish, and we would value your attendance and assistance if possible. Unlike last year the service of food will be simplified to a main buffet table where you will help yourself to hot food, then scones and cakes! We will however serve the mulled wine and tea and coffee to your tables. The concert program is yet to be arranged but we are sure it will be very entertaining!
To book a table please contact Ruth Champion on Mob: 0400 166 041
