A gen­er­al invit­a­tion is exten­ded to every­one who would like to come to the pub for lunch at the War­ren View (2 Stan­more Road, Enmore) after the ser­vice and morn­ing tea of a Sunday.  We look for­ward to see­ing you there.

Next Sunday 28 June Brad Chap­man from ABM will be our guest speak­er, as arranged by Fr Glenn.  The War­dens have agreed to make this a small fun­draiser for ABM with a saus­age sizzle; a dona­tion of between $5-$10 – cash or Eft­pos for ABM would be appre­ci­ated, if you can afford it.  Rick Prat­ley has agreed to be our BBQ chef, with help from oth­er volun­teers. We will not be going to the War­ren View pub on this occa­sion.

If you have any stamps you wish to donate to ABM please bring them on Sunday 28^th June.

‘Only finitely is it true that some­thing is bet­ter than noth­ing,’ wrote Søren Kierkegaard. ‘Where the infin­ite is con­cerned, the oppos­ite holds–that noth­ing is bet­ter than some­thing.’ Kierkegaard argued that God, who is pure sub­jectiv­ity, can­not be an object. Human exist­ence is there­fore a kind of pas­sion, mean­ing both suf­fer­ing and joy, in the end­less quest for the end­lessly elu­sive divine.

Tick­ets will be on sale today for $40 pp or $30 con­ces­sion, clos­ing on Sunday 28^th June.

Single tick­ets or a table of 4, 6 or 8 may be booked, how­ever, it would be appre­ci­ated if pay­ment was received at the time of the book­ing, we will accept cash or EFTPOS.

Start­ing at 2.30pm — There will be music, mulled wine served on arrival, hot fin­ger food, scones, jam & cream and a vari­ety of sweet del­ic­acies.

Teapots and Cof­fee will be served to the tables; some glu­ten free food will be avail­able and there will be raffles and door prizes.

Sunday 18^th Octo­ber – St Luke’s Patron­al Fest­iv­al

On Sunday 18 Octo­ber we will be cel­eb­rat­ing our St Luke’s Patron­al Fest­iv­al with a spe­cial guest preach­er and former rect­or, The Very Rev’d Steph­en Wil­li­ams, Dean Emer­it­us of Christ­ch­urch Cathed­ral New­castle and known to a few long-stand­ing parish­ion­ers.

Steph­en and his wife Sue will join us for lunch after the ser­vice — this will either be a shared lunch or a pub lunch — yet to be con­firmed.
