Vir­tu­al par­ish get-together:

There is a change of time to the vir­tu­al par­ish get-togeth­er this week, with Par­ish Coun­cil meet­ing in the morn­ing.  The vir­tu­al get-togeth­er will begin at 2.30pm on Sunday 19 Septem­ber, with a spe­cial live per­form­ance of some pop­u­lar mood-lift­ing songs by Jo Bur­ton (view only, no chat) for around 20 minutes, then after a short break, the usu­al get-togeth­er at 3pm for after­noon tea, in the usu­al rotat­ing small group format.

Two links will be sent by e‑mail, one for the live music and one for the after­noon tea.

All are wel­come to join either or both.


 

Angli­care – Online Lock­down Food Drive

Due to lock­down Angli­care are run­ning an ONLINE ‘Lock­down Food Drive’ until Octo­ber 12th 2021.

Online dona­tions are tax deduct­ible and will be used to sup­port Angli­care to pur­chase essen­tial gro­cery items at whole­sale prices. Our Mobile Com­munity Pan­tries and Food and Fin­an­cial Assist­ance pro­grams will get these into the hands of those who are strug­gling the most.

In your mercy bring a swift end to this crisis.  Please pro­tect with your lov­ing care those we love — our fam­il­ies, friends and neigh­bours.  Let your fath­erly hand guide, shel­ter and strengthen them.  Cast out all anxious fears and doubts.  Give us an increas­ing trust in you and fill our hearts and minds with your peace.  We pray for those around the world now strug­gling with COVID-19.  Heal and com­fort those who are sick and suf­fer­ing.  Pro­tect and guide the health pro­fes­sion­als who are at the front line.  Please give wis­dom and cour­age to those who bear respons­ib­il­ity for con­front­ing this chal­lenge. We ask these things through the power­ful name of Jesus.  Amen.
