Sunday night service — Fr Jeff is happy to commence a regular evening service on Sundays at, say 6.00 p.m. Please let him know if you would be interested in being part of that or not. If there is no need or no interest, then he will not go ahead with this.
Do not hesitate to reach out to Fr. Jeff (confidentially) if you are struggling with the present situation or are in need of prayers for friends/family. The Wednesday healing service is an opportunity to come to Church to pray for healing and peace for yourself and loved ones.
Remember Mission Giving: The Parish supports several mission projects through giving to the ABM. You can give to the ABM in the following ways:
- by electronic transfer to the St Luke’s bank account (see last page of this booklet), with “ABM” in the note.
- by credit card – click ‘Giving’ on the St Luke’s website and select ABM from the dropdown menu.
- by cash placed in an envelope marked ‘ABM’ and placed in the collection plate as you leave.
In the current circumstances, our mission agencies, like the churches, are in greater need. Please remember to support ABM.
Food for our little friends – Food scraps (not diary, citrus or meat) can be left in the bucket provided for our worms. This is part of our Parish environmental initiative.

Almighty and merciful God,
whose Son became a refugee and had no place to call his own;
look with mercy on those who today are fleeing from danger,
homeless and hungry.
Bless those who work to bring them relief;
inspire generosity and compassion in all our hearts;
and guide the nations of the world towards that day when all will rejoice in your Kingdom of justice and of peace;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
For those held in captivity:
we cry to you from the depths of our concern
for those wrongly imprisoned or held captive:
for those trying to secure their release,
that the ways of peace and diplomacy may prevail over acts of violence and aggression,
that their captors may know a change of heart;
through him who was sent to proclaim liberty for captives
and to set free those who are oppressed,
your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
We pray together our Parish prayer:
God of love, God of mission, you alone bring life to your Church. Send to this Church of St Luke your Holy Spirit to give vision for our planning, wisdom in our actions, and power to our witness. Help our church to grow in spiritual commitment to you, in love for one another, and in service to our local community. And may all who worship with us know Christ’s compassion and love. Amen
