Sunday 15th Octo­ber – St Luke’s Patron­al Fest­iv­al:  Our Guest Speak­er is to be The Ven­er­able Dr Colleen O’Reilly.  Fol­low­ing the ser­vice we will hold a shared lunch, out­doors in the church car­park — weath­er per­mit­ting.  So please bring food to share – hot or cold; savoury or sweet.

Sat 21st Oct at 6.30pm – Warden’s Din­ner “Oppor­tun­ity Knocks”

Cel­eb­rat­ing the 30th Anniversary since our OpShop first opened on Enmore Road in 1993, so we encour­age you to buy your­self an

OpShop out­fit.  This does not need to be an entire outfit!!

Prizes will be awar­ded for the out­fits: 1. the quir­ki­est, 2. the most cre­at­ive, 3. the most expens­ive, and 4. the cheapest.  Please keep your receipts for the last two categories.

Cost: $40 Adult/ $20 Con­ces­sion, Stu­dent, and OpShop Volun­teers.  No one is to be excluded because they can’t afford it.  Just ask one of the War­dens or Andy Serafin.

Price includes a 2‑course din­ner. Please BYOG. Soft drinks and water provided.  Please let us know if you have any food allergies.

Weath­er per­mit­ting, we will use the car­park area at 6.30pm for pre-din­ner drinks and nibbles.  Our Cater­er will serve din­ner in the hall at 7.15pm but people are wel­come to sit outside.

This is a fun night and we will have 80’s music. Please come and join us.

Get a group of fam­ily or friends togeth­er for a table or book an indi­vidu­al seat.  Tick­ets will be avail­able after church from today.  Please see Kev­in Chiew after church, Andy Ser­afin in the Op Shop or con­tact the Par­ish Office.

Book­ings must be received by 5pm on Fri­day 13th Octo­ber for cater­ing.

23nd-25th Feb­ru­ary 2024 — Par­ish Retreat: Booked at the Old Mon­as­tery Stroud (Fri­day even­ing to Sunday after­noon).  We will start tak­ing names for reser­va­tions in early Decem­ber 2023.  The bed­rooms are nearly all single rooms with shared bath­rooms, and we will be self-cater­ing.  Yes, it most likely will be very warm at that time of the year, but it was all that was avail­able to book.

 

 

Food for our worms – Leave your worm food gifts at church on Sundays or drop off dur­ing the week.  Please remem­ber to remove the strings from teabags.  (NB — no dairy, cit­rus, onions or meat).

 

 

Notices for the Sunday Ser­vice book­let need to be received by Jen­nifer in the par­ish office by 10am on Thursday morn­ing.  It is best to email the details.
