Safe Ministry at St Luke’s 

St Luke’s supports Safe Ministry. We are committed to the physical, emotional and spiritual welfare of all people, particularly within our own community.

We live out this commitment by:

• Being intentional in the way we recruit and train leaders of our church.

• Requiring all staff and leaders to have up to date Safe Ministry Training and verified Working With Children Checks.

• Encouraging safe ministry practices across all ministries occurring within our church community.

• Responding to any concerns raised about the safety of ministry happening within our church community.

• Offering pastoral support to any person who has suffered abuse.

We utilise The Safe Ministry Blueprint to inform our processes and ensure that our ministry remains safe for all participants.

We subscribe fully to the Diocesan principles of Safe Ministry.  Our Safe Ministry Representative is Susan Hill, who has not only been trained in the principles of Child Safety, but is an instructor in the field.
