Sunday 18th October – St Luke’s Patronal Festival
On Sunday 18 October we will be celebrating our St Luke’s Patronal Festival with a special guest preacher and former rector, The Very Rev’d Stephen Williams, Dean Emeritus of Christchurch Cathedral Newcastle and known to a few long-standing parishioners.
Some of us recently caught up with Stephen when he preached at St James’ King Street for the 50th anniversary of St Laurence House.
He and his wife Sue will join us for lunch after the service — this will either be a shared lunch or a pub lunch — yet to be confirmed.
