NOTICES:
Welcome to any visitors with us today. Please join us for morning tea after the service.
Welcome to Fr Mark and Sue Harding. Fr Mark will be our Acting Rector until Sunday 5th April – Easter Day. He will be taking our Sunday and Wednesday services during this period.
Mark Harding grew up in Tasmania and moved to Sydney in 1975 to study for the ministry at Moore College. He was ordained in 1980 and served as curate in the Parish of Port Kembla and Parramatta (St John’s) before becoming a lecturer at Moore in 1985. He undertook doctoral study at Princeton Theological Seminary from 1989 until 1993, returning to Sydney to become part-time Priest-in-Charge of St Matthew’s Ashbury and a part-time lecturer at Macquarie University. In 1996 he became the Dean of the Australian College of Theology (ACT), at that time a body of the General Synod. He held this position until his retirement in 2016. The ACT has since become the Australian University of Theology (AUT).
Mark is married to Sue. They have four children and seven grandchildren.
Mark and Sue are very happy to have the opportunity to become part of the St Luke’s community even if for just six weeks.

Fr Mark is conducting an hourly Lenten Study on Zoom, each Wednesday evening until 1 April, at 7.30 p.m.
The study book is “Let Me Go There” by Paula Gooder. This book contains a series of biblical reflections and invites us to experience Lent, not as a season of restriction but of wide-open spaciousness, to learn anew and grow in faith. Paula Gooder is a leading biblical scholar and one of today’s most popular writers in spirituality.
If you would like to join the Zoom study, please let Ruth know on 0400 166 041 or email ruthchampion47@gmail.com.
