The flowers in the church today are donated by Michelle Park­er, in lov­ing memory of her fath­er, Ron­ald Sid­ney Sparkes.

 

 

NEXT SUNDAY: The 6pm Spir­it of Taize ser­vice has been can­celled for Janu­ary only.  It will resume in Feb­ru­ary 2024.

 

Fr Jeff and Michelle Park­er will be on hol­i­days from Monday 1st – Fri­day 12th Janu­ary 2024.  Fr Philip will be tak­ing our Wed­nes­day and Sunday ser­vices dur­ing this period.

 

The Par­ish Office and OpShop are cur­rently closed for the hol­i­days: both will reopen on 2nd Janu­ary 2024.

You are invited to meet online with ABM and AID Exec­ut­ive Dir­ect­or, the Rev’d Dr John Deane, as we launch the 2024 Pro­ject Book. Togeth­er we will find out what God is doing and share with you how you and your par­ish can join with us in God’s mission.

We will also show­case the vari­ous resources we have avail­able to help your par­ish par­ti­cip­ate more fully in God’s mis­sion, nation­ally and glob­ally, through ABM.

23–25 Feb­ru­ary 2024 — Par­ish Retreat: Booked at the Old Mon­as­tery Stroud (Fri­day even­ing to Sunday after­noon).  

We are now tak­ing names for reser­va­tions.

The bed­rooms are nearly all single rooms with shared bath­rooms, and we will be self-catering.

ST PAUL’S PANTRY needs food, health and clean­ing items: A bas­ket is in the church foy­er for donations.

 

Lea MacNeil has jam, con­serves, pickles and vari­ous sauces to sell; please email her at lea.macneil@gmail.com to order them from her.  All pro­ceeds go to St Luke’s Parish.

 

Food for our worms – Leave your worm food gifts at church on Sundays or drop off dur­ing the week.  Please remem­ber to remove the strings from your teabags.  (N.B. — no dairy, cit­rus, onions or meat).
