Saturday 21st February at 3pm for a 3.15pm start — Cinema Paradiso: Salute — The story behind the image (2008)
The picture of three men on the winners’ podium after the men’s 200 metres final at the 1968 Mexico City Olympic Games is an enduring 20th Century image, still relevant today.
This film, directed and produced by Australian sprinter Peter Norman’s nephew, tells the story of the politics, and more profoundly, the faith behind the image.
The film premiered at the 2008 Sydney Film Festival, winning the Audience Award for Best Australian Documentary.
Interval with espresso, prosecco and cheese, concluding at 5.30pm.
RSVP not required.
