TODAY Sunday 1st February a meeting will be held for all welcomers. There have been a number of decisions made by the Parish Council to ensure the safety of parishioners and to give more assistance to the clergy and to our visitors. If you are a welcomer, it would be beneficial if you would attend. Please get a tea or coffee and something to eat quickly and come into the back foyer of the church. If you are interested in becoming a welcomer, please come too!
It is also Fr John Bunyan’s 90th Birthday celebration at St John’s Gordon at 2 p.m. He would be very pleased to see you there if you can make it. Enquiries to Ruth, who has one seat spare in her car.

Sunday 15th February we will celebrate Pancake Day (ahead of Shrove Tuesday when we used to hold this in the rectory and burn our Palm Crosses in readiness for Ash Wednesday). Parish Council considered the rectory unsuitable for use this year given the current renovations taking place. We would like to make this a small fundraiser for the parish, and we will ask for a monetary note of $5 or more for the pancakes, if you are able, but tea and coffee will be free!! We can have the Eftpos handy for those who never carry cash!! Some of us will assist the Chiew family with pancake batter — which may actually be more large pikelet size but will taste the same. Maple syrup and ice cream or strawberry jam and cream will be available. We hope you will stay and join in the fun. The Parish Council will meet as soon as possible after morning tea in the Office.
